Directions:
Greenland Open Space is located four miles south of Larkspur (10 miles south of Castle Rock) and six miles north of Monument (20 miles north of Colorado Springs). Take 1-25 to exit 167, travel west 1/4 mile and then south 1/2 mile to the Greenland trailhead. There is limited parking at this parking lot. Overflow parking is located just over the railroad tracks at the Spruce Mountain parking area. Please follow the instructions of the parking crew upon arrival.

Please Carpool:
We encourage carpooling. We are directing runners to the website RideShare.us to find other runners to carpool with. If more people carpool, then we can allow more runners into the race! Please follow the directions of the professional parking management crew when you arrive at the race.
Awards:
Overall and Age Group awards will be presented in all races as follows:
Top Overall Male and Female – Free pair of LaSportiva Mountain Running Shoes
Top three in the following age groups will receive gift certificates to the Boulder Running Company worth $20 for first place, $15 for second place, and $10 for third place:
19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
All 50K finishers will get a finishers medal
Drop Bags:
We will have a 10′x10′ tent with a tarp on the ground under it at the turn-around point of the race. This is located about a 1/4 mile from the finish line. You are more than welcome to take a bag to this location and leave it for the duration of the race. We will also have an area at the registration tables for you to leave your drop bags if you want us to transport them to this tent for you. you are responsible for getting the bag back to the finish line after the race, which means you may need to walk the 1/4 mile back out to the tent after you finish.

6:00 AM – Packet pickup at race site begins. No race day registration.

Goodies:
All participants will receive a gender specific race logo technical shirt with their registration. All 50K finishers will get a custom made finisher medal.

Weather & Safety Information:
We all know that weather in Colorado is day to day. The average low temperature in early May is 36 degrees and the average high is 63 degrees. At 7,000′, be prepared for anything. There may be snow on the trail, there may be rain, it may be muddy, and it may be nice. We will just have to wait and see what shows up on race day.
Greenland Open Space is a multi-use open space that can see a lot of foot, bike, and horse traffic. However, in April, this traffic is fairly light. Expect to see wildlife in the form of rabbits, prairie dogs, fox, coyote, birds, and possibly bear and mountain lion.
Though this race is not considered high altitude for residents of Colorado, if you are traveling from elevations below 2,000′, be prepared for some shortness of breath. The highpoint on the course is 7,400′, about 1,000′ higher than Colorado Springs and 2,000′ higher than Denver.
